Ooey-Gooey Caramel Apple Cheesecake!

GRAND PRIZE WINNER!

When looking for recipes, I truly and deeply feel that you can’t ever go wrong when you choose a recipe that has won in a contest. Think about it. Have you ever had something that won a ribbon and thought, “My, this is just dreadful”? Nope, neither have I. But when you find something that is the grand prize winner, you have to stop what you’re doing and get that into your schedule to make straight away.

So, as fate would have it, my husband had invited some of his coworkers to our home. I knew this would be the perfect time to make this impressive cheesecake. You know what they say…behind every good man is a great woman and ta da! Here I am! Ahem. Anyway, all my greatness aside, let’s talk about this fabulous cake, shall we? It’s got 2 layers of caramel in there. One is at the bottom just above the crust and the other is on top. This is what contributes to the ooey-gooey-ness of this cheesecake.
