OLD-TIMEY TASTE!
When I was little, one of my favorite things to do was to spend time with my grandpa. When my parents would go out, my brother and I were always super-excited if Grandpa was our babysitter for the evening. He’d take us to the arcade and we’d go out for milkshakes. We’d have bubble-blowing contests and all kinds of things. He’d take us to the park or the zoo. And to the mall too. There was a cookie store in there that we loved and Grandpa would tease my brother and me. We believed every word he said and followed it to a T so that Grandpa would buy us a cookie from the cookie place.
Looking back, he’d probably have bought them for us even if we were naughty, but I remember my brother and I looking at the cookies and trying to decide which one to choose. I would always wind up with chocolate chip. But my brother was far more adventurous, probably because he was older. He would try different things and one time it was this chewy chocolaty peanut buttery cookie. I took a bite and then I cried because I wanted his cookie instead of mine. Siblings!
