WHY DIDN’T WE THINK OF THIS BEFORE?!?
Sugar cookies are a staple on any baker’s cookie list. They are easy, they come together in a pinch, you can customize them with cookie cutters and toppings…there is just so much to love about them. But you know what? I saw this recipe for chocolate sugar cookies and I was like, “WHY didn’t I think of this before?!?” I have a lot of those moments. But I’ll stop lamenting that I didn’t think of this first and start enjoying my new discovery. It’s everything you love about sugar cookies with that soft texture but with chocolate. These are going on my cookie list and staying there FOREVER. No really. I mean it. For holidays, I can mix them up with half regular sugar cookies and half chocolate. Or oooh! I could swirl them! OMG. OMG OMG OMG! You guys! I am a genius!
