IF LOOKS COULD KILL!
My kids are nowhere near the teen years yet, but that doesn’t stop them from giving me that nasty side-eye every time they don’t get their way. This week alone, I’ve heard “You’re the worst mom ever” about 100 times. And the week ain’t over yet. I aim to please. Last weekend, my eldest threw shade at me because I would not let her have cake for breakfast. For one, it was for a potluck we were going to, and for another, it was cake. And I don’t let the kids have cake for breakfast. Unless it’s a breakfast cake of course. Which seems really contradictory when you think about it.
But then she came to me and apologized and she cleaned her room before I could even nag her about that, so I thought I should do something special for her and her sister. I knew just what to do too. Make them a breakfast that would borderline on dessert. So the next morning, that’s just what I did. I used this super simple recipe and for once, I was “the best mom ever.” Zing!
