THE PERFECT BREAKFAST BLEND!
The other day, I got a random call from my cousins who I hadn’t seen in years. With our schedules and our kids and all that, we usually email because it’s just easier to keep up-to-date that way. So when they actually called in last-century fashion, I felt so special. And I felt even more special when I found out why they were calling. They were going to be passing through our city and wanted to get together. Of course I was delighted. I hadn’t seen them in so long that when I thought about it, I realized a good 20 years had passed. I know! For part of that though, I was living abroad but still. Too long of time had elapsed and we had to rectify it.
They were coming through around breakfast time so I thought the best way to keep things simple was to make something everyone could help themselves too. My cousin and her husband have a lot of children – 8 of them to be exact – and while we have the room to have everyone visit here, preparing that much food in the morning was going to make me nuts. I wanted to have something ready so that I could enjoy sitting and talking to them and so that the children could play with their cousins.
