IS IT TIME FOR TEA?
Recently, I talked about some lemon cookies on here. I just want to get that out of the way before you give me the eye roll like my kids do. “But Mooooooom. You already told us that!” And that’s always punctuated with a heavy sigh, like I’ve asked them to get out and push our car down the street as opposed to driving it. While that recipe is a fantastically lemony cookie recipe, this one is also fabulous but in a much different way. The other cookies I posted are more of a fun and informal treat that would make kids and adults alike happy at a picnic or pool party or some sort of summery gathering.
But these…oh no. These lemon sugar snaps are fancier, like something you’d serve the Queen of England if she deigned to come around to your house for afternoon tea. So if you’re looking to host the Queen, or more likely, a brunch or a baby or bridal shower, these are elegant and lovely. Refined. These wouldn’t put their elbows on the table at the nice restaurant. Like a certain husband I know. Ahem. We’re working on that. And while we do, may I suggest you work on making these?
