I have to tell you something. Today was my birthday and I did something crazy. Ok, maybe it’s not THAT crazy. I did not go streaking like Will Ferrell’s character in Old School (oh how I loooooooove that movie!). But I did call up my favorite radio station using their app and told them that I was old enough to remember…well, wait. I’m not going to just give up my age here. Sorry. Fine. I will tell you this…I left them a message telling them it was my birthday and how old I was and could they pretty please with sugar on top play a couple songs for me? I asked them to play “Dreams” by Van Halen because they rule all and also “Lovin’ Every Minute” by Loverboy. Why yes, I am still stuck in the 80s. Thanks for noticing.
Anyway, the point of all this is that as I was driving with the kids, I suddenly hear me on the radio! And my kids start flipping out too. “Mommy! That’s you! What are you doing on the radio?!?” What a trip! Best of all, they threw in “Birthday” by The Beatles for me too. It doesn’t get much better than that. I really was lovin’ every minute of it.
