I have to admit I was late to the party on the whole puppy chow craze. It’s probably because as a kid, I remember those old Puppy Chow commercials for the dog food. So hearing about people go on and on and on about puppy chow mix made me gag a bit, honestly. But then my friend Stacy had served some puppy chow mix at a girls’ night party at her house and I ate it unknowingly. The puppy chow mix, not the dog food. See why this is confusing?!? Anyway, it was delicious and since then, I’ve been a believer.
So imagine my delight when I found these puppy chow cookies. You may also know them as muddy buddies, which sounds like something my darling but messy nephew might have as a doll that he drags through the mud along with him. Wait, am I thinking of My Buddy?
