Deliciously Delicate Whipped Shortbread!

5 INGREDIENTS TO FABULOUS!

With just a few ingredients, 5 to be exact, you can make these ultra-impressive cookies. The recipe will make you 102 cookies. That is a LOT of cookies. So make them for something special. Or adjust the measurements to make a much smaller batch. What’s fun here is that these take absolutely no time to make. They look and taste elegant so you could also give them as a gift in a nice tin. Or serve them on a big pretty platter at a party.

To make them, the butter and confectioners’ sugar get creamed together until they get light and fluffy. Then you’ll slowly add the flour and cornstarch until well blended. Dust your hands with cornstarch before you begin rolling the dough into little balls. You’ll also want to dust a fork with flour so you can press the balls lightly. Add either nonpareils or cherry halves, or mix and match the batches. A little variety is nice, and really makes the cookies pop with a burst of pretty when you serve them.

I found this melt-in-your-mouth delicious recipe from the Taste of Home website. Click the link below to see the site and full recipe for this Whipped Shortbread.
