Glorious German Chocolate Cake Bars!

A BLISSFULLY SWEET TREAT!

This is such a great recipe to make for when you’re having an informal gathering. Maybe it’s family movie night, or maybe you’re having some friends for dinner. Or perhaps you’ve got the church potluck to impress. These will surely do the trick and what’s more is that they are beyond easy. A box of cake mix helps make this a snap. You’ll mix the cake mix, butter and egg together to make the crust. You’ll bake it but only for a few minutes because it will soon bake longer with the other stuff on top.

Mix the filling together and pour it on the crust and then top it with your chocolate chips. After that, bake but do NOT over-bake it! It’s critical to your success! The top should only be a very light brown. Cool them first before trying to cut them into squares or you’ll create a gooey mess. It’s a truly glorious dessert. Try it!

I found this gooey good recipe on the Girl Who Ate Everything blog. Click the link below to see the blog and full recipe for these German Chocolate Cake Bars.
