HERE’S THE SECRET TO PERFECTION!
So I have to tell you that despite making this treat many times in my life, even back in those foggy days when I could barely cook or bake anything, that this recipe really works beautifully every time. I made 2 batches this past week just to be certain. Back to school is around the corner and I want to make sure my little munchkins have some good munchies when they get home from school. These are totally fail-proof.
You’ll melt your butter in a large pot. Keep the heat low and just ride with your patience. Once melted, add in the mini marshmallows (8 cups of them) and keep stirring and stirring and stirring. When the marshmallows are just melted, take it from the heat and add the Krispies and salt and stir until they’re just coated with the marshmallow mixture. You’ll then add the last 2 cups of marshmallows. Stir and then spread it into your prepared pan. Be sure to press it down evenly. Once they cool, cut them up and serve them. They’ll taste the best the same day they’ve been made but if you have leftovers, wrap them in wax paper and store them in an airtight container for a day or two, tops.
