Potluck German Apple Cake – Just Heavenly!

TOO EASY TO BE TRUE!

When I first looked at this recipe, I thought maybe I was forgetting something. See, when I cook or bake, I like to put out everything I’ll be using. I check and double check to make sure I’ve got everything on hand because nothing sucks more than getting into a recipe only to realize you’re out of the main ingredient. But as I checked and checked again, I realized I had everything ready to go. I love a good cake recipe, especially something that is so simple. I just love to smile smugly as everyone compliments me on what a great cook I am when what I made was as easy as using a box.

No box mix here though but seriously, just as easy. You’ll beat the eggs, oil, sugar and vanilla in a big bowl. In another bowl, mix up the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Then put them both together and mix well. Apples and nuts get folded in next. Into the greased baking dish they go to bake up. Warning: it will make your kitchen smell SO good. Just so you know. Let it cool after and then make your cream cheese frosting. See? Easy as cake!

I found the recipe to make this review from the Taste of Home website. Click the link below to go visit the site and get the detailed recipe.
